Short skirts are another name for miniskirts or mini-skirts. A short skirt is any skirt that has its hemline above the knees. They grew popular in the 1960s in London and the United States, and continue to be popular today.
The only skirt that’s smaller is the “micro-miniskirt,” which as its name suggests is an even smaller version of the miniskirt. As Wikipedia puts it, they are “largely seen as a fashion statement reserved for the very daring, the youthful, or for its utilization in theatrical arenas.”
