Various fashion designers tried to bring men’s skirt into regular fashion but didn’t have that much of response which was expected. There are few western cultures where menís skirt is a popular dress among the male community. Mainly the men’s skirt is worn in the western dance culture and is quite popular as well. The men’s skirt was considered an important part of professional dance production. Menís skirts were used to impose an artistic look to the choreography of the dance. Ever since the skirts were introduced, the ideas of men’s skirt remained decisively associated with idea of effeminacy and hence still havenít got the desired place in mainstream fashion line.
