First, they rightly point out that Madonna gets the credit for inspiring the fashion trends, but really the credit should go to Cyndi Lauper with her loud, punk, and colorful fashion.

Second, they point that that 1980s skirts are coming back fast and furious, this time without the teased hair and oversized shirts!

The key styles:
The Tiered Skirt is described as “fun and flirty” and “pair well with tights or bare legs”

The Bubble Skirt – is “defined by the bubble effect of the hem and can be a playful piece for any wardrobe.” For pairing, try “stirrup tights, high heels, and a sweater for a chilly fall day on campus, but they would also look great with just a plain tank top and some fancy sandals!”

The Long Skirt – “Usually hit somewhere between the bottom of the knee and mid calf – while somewhat universally unflattering, these skirts actually provide a lot of leeway for a DIY project.”
